Spindle - Pleated Floor Lamp for Living Room

Twenty two pounds and it feels it. The chrome stem does not flex when you brush past, which after two wobbly floor lamps in a row is the thing I actually care about.

The pleats throw a fluted shadow up the wall behind it. I did not buy it for that but it is now my favourite thing about it.

Assembled in about six minutes, no tools beyond what came in the box. Stem threads into the base cleanly and there is a felt pad underneath so it does not scratch the floorboards.

The light comes through the pleats with no glare at all, so I can sit right beside it and read for an hour. Evenings in that corner are softer now and the ceiling light stays off most nights.

forty four inches is taller than it sounds in a small living room. it fills the corner by the sofa exactly the way i hoped and nothing else has to change.

The amber of the diffuser is deeper in person than on screen. Against a white wall it goes almost honey coloured.

Bought it for the corner by the front door. Now people stop in the doorway instead of walking straight through.

A handsome piece and considerably better made than the price suggested to me. The base is weighted properly, the seam on the diffuser is nearly invisible, and after five months of daily use there is no yellowing or sag anywhere in the pleating.
