Ripple - Sculptural Resin Table Lamp

The loop is a proper sculptural form, not a shape stuck on a lamp. It looks good switched off, which is most of the day.

Five pounds of resin with a lacquer finish you can see your hand in. The burgundy is much deeper than it appears on screen, closer to oxblood.

The lacquer keeps its shine with nothing more than a dry cloth. Mine sits by the front door where everything gets handled, and a quick wipe each week is all it has ever needed. I move it by the base out of habit and it still looks like the day it arrived.

frosted globe means no glare at all from the sofa. sits on the side table and you never see the filament or a bright spot, just the whole ball lit evenly.

I bought it as an accent for the dresser and that is exactly the job it does. Eleven inches is the right height there, low enough to leave room for everything else on the top. The touch control is handy last thing at night when I do not want to hunt for a switch in the dark. My daughter has already asked for one of her own.

It reads as one continuous curve from every angle. Whichever way I turn it, the shape works.

It arrived very well packed, with the glass globe cushioned separately from the resin loop, and setting it up took about a minute. I mention that because packing is where these things usually go wrong. The piece itself is excellent and the frosted globe sits perfectly true in the loop. On the console it has warmed up a corner that always felt unfinished.

Two guests in a row have picked it up to look underneath. It is that kind of shape.
